Who We Are
The NGEC consists of representatives from Amtrak, the Federal Railroad Administration, State Departments of Transportation, passenger railroad equipment manufacturers and suppliers, engineering consultants and other passenger rail providors who volunteer their time to further the objectives of the NGEC.

The Future of NGEC
The Next Generation Equipment Committee (NGEC) has a long and respected history of delivering results as the national leader in standardization, acquisition and management of passenger rail equipment. With an engaged membership, NGEC is ready to continue its mission and continuously improve specifications as new developments are conceived in vehicle production and manufacturing while sparking domestic production and invigorating the passenger rail across the U.S.
